New borewell
Before first use
Test a new borewell before using the water for drinking.
Borewell water testing
We test borewell, tanker and irrigation water for TDS, hardness, fluoride, nitrate, metals and bacteria, so you know whether it is safe to drink, needs treatment or is suitable for farming.
Groundwater testing
Borewell water testing is the laboratory analysis of groundwater for dissolved salts, hardness, fluoride, nitrate, metals and bacteria, to find out whether it is safe to drink, needs treatment, or is suitable for irrigation.
Groundwater quality varies widely across Gujarat. High TDS, hardness and fluoride are common in many areas, and nitrate and bacteria can enter wells from sewage or fertilisers.
Accurate Universal Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. tests borewell, tube well, open well and tanker water for homes, societies, farms and industries, and recommends treatment where needed.

Need borewell water tested?
Tell us the water source and why you're testing, and we'll recommend the panel.
Why borewell testing matters
Fluoride, nitrate and arsenic have no taste or colour but can harm health over time. A test tells you whether to treat the water and which treatment to choose.

Testing parameters
These are the parameters most often tested in groundwater.
| Test | Why it is needed |
|---|---|
| TDS | Dissolved salts affect taste and suitability |
| Total hardness | Scaling in pipes, heaters and appliances |
| Fluoride | Excess causes dental and skeletal fluorosis |
| Nitrate | Sewage or fertiliser contamination; harmful to infants |
| Chloride | Salinity and taste |
| Iron | Staining, taste and colour |
| Arsenic | Toxic metal in some groundwater |
| Total coliforms and E. coli | Contamination and disease risk |
For irrigation, we can add sodium and other parameters that show suitability for crops and soil.

Who should test
Groundwater changes over time, so regular testing is wise.
Before first use
Test a new borewell before using the water for drinking.
Before buying
Test before choosing RO, a softener or a filter.
Seasonal changes
Contamination often rises after heavy rain.
Irrigation
Check salinity and suitability for crops.

Anyone who relies on groundwater should test it.
Not sure which parameters you need?
We'll recommend a panel based on your source and use.
FAQs
A good basic panel includes TDS, pH, hardness, fluoride, nitrate, chloride, iron and coliforms and E. coli. In some areas, arsenic and other metals should also be checked.
IS 10500 sets an acceptable TDS limit of 500 mg/L and a permissible limit of 2000 mg/L where no alternative source exists. High TDS affects taste and may indicate other problems; RO treatment is commonly used.
Test a new borewell before use, and then periodically, especially after the monsoon or if the taste, smell or colour changes.
It depends on salinity, sodium and other parameters. We can test your water for irrigation suitability.
The cost depends on the panel. Share your requirement and we will send an itemised quotation.
Yes. Our Ahmedabad laboratory is accredited by NABL to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (certificate TC-5021) and our Rajkot laboratory under certificate TC-7988. The tests and products covered are listed in our scope of accreditation, and we confirm whether your parameters are within scope before testing.
