Export testing lab in Gujarat

What is export testing?

Export testing is the laboratory testing of a food or agricultural lot before shipment, for the residues, contaminants and quality parameters set by the importing country and the buyer, so the lot clears the border and the buyer's checks.

Accurate Universal Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. is recognised by APEDA, EIC and IOPEPC and accredited by NABL, with laboratories in Ahmedabad and in Rajkot at the heart of the Saurashtra groundnut and oilseed belt. We support exporters of groundnuts, sesame, spices, rice, cereals, pulses, isabgol, guar gum and processed foods.

We test each lot against the limits of the market you name, whether that is the EU, USA, Gulf countries, South-East Asia or China, and issue accredited reports and certificates of analysis for your export documents.

Shipping an export lot soon?

Test before the container is sealed, not after a rejection at the port.

Why export testing matters

Avoid rejections, claims and delays

A rejected container costs freight, demurrage, re-export and your buyer's trust. Testing each lot against the destination's limits before shipment is the cheapest insurance an exporter can buy.

FAQs

Export Testing: common questions

Which tests does my export shipment need?

It depends on the product and destination. Common requirements are pesticide residues against MRLs, aflatoxin and other mycotoxins, heavy metals and microbiology such as Salmonella, plus any tests in your buyer's contract. Tell us the product and market and we will build the test plan.

Are your reports accepted for APEDA, EIC and IOPEPC exports?

Our NABL certificate records that our Ahmedabad laboratory fulfils the requirements of APEDA, EIC, IOPEPC and FSSAI. You can view the certificates on our accreditations page.

Do all countries follow the same limits?

No. The EU, USA, Gulf countries and Asian markets each set their own limits for residues and contaminants, and buyers may set stricter ones. We report results against the limits of the market you name.

Who decides the testing requirements for export?

The importing country's regulations, your buyer's contract and, for some products, Indian export bodies such as APEDA, EIC and IOPEPC together decide what must be tested.

Can you draw samples from our warehouse or container?

Yes. Our inspection and survey team can draw representative samples from your lot, warehouse or container and send them directly to our laboratory.

What happens if my sample fails?

We help you understand the result and your options, which may include sorting or re-processing and re-testing, or selling to a market with different limits. Finding a problem before shipment is far cheaper than a rejection at the port.

How much does export testing cost?

The cost depends on the product and the tests your market requires. Share your requirement and we will send an itemised quotation.

Is Accurate Universal Laboratories accredited for this testing?

Yes. Our Ahmedabad laboratory is accredited by NABL to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (certificate TC-5021) and our Rajkot laboratory under certificate TC-7988. The tests and products covered are listed in our scope of accreditation, and we confirm whether your parameters are within scope before testing.
